Ordeal

Dry sunlight filled the room. Oblique shadows trailing dusty objects. The two of them sat still, lost in their own worlds. Silence sat in between them, periodically glancing this way and that way. A smile, would be highly inappropriate.

He leaned forward to say something. Arms placed on knees, expression undecipherable. The other looked away. Of late, it has been happening too often. Way too often, for either of them to be comfortable.

"Umm..Listen..I have something to tell you"
"I know"
"We can't go on like this forever"
"It wouldn't last long anyway, right?"
"It is the freakin attitude that matters"

Silence still sat in between. It could definately use a glass of water, though.

Every morning, i see two of my roommates go through this ordeal. Each argues the other should take bath first. I used to have the same fight with my bro, when i was young.

Originally, i planned to build a sequence with a picture. You know where two people talk and the other leans in to tell a secret.Without actually telling the secrets. The objects in the setting are supposed to be secretive. No chance, i can weave such intricate things :p
