Gult
"There are two kinds of people in this world.Gult people and Good people", said a friend of mine. Ever since, i set my foot in iit, i have been subjected this question with suprising intensity,"Are you a gult? haan..tell me are you a gult?". Close to the point that, "You don't look like a gult" has become a compliment of sorts. Remarks like "Its okay, you know.Its okay to be a gult" are common in gult-depleted circles.Seripaladi(Say-Ri-Paal-adi).It is hard to define my people in a straightforward douglas adams "mostly harmless" sort of way.
A few qualities that do or do not apply to us, in general.There are no ambitious gults.I haven't bothered to look for one. Down-to-earth? yes. Some are even below ground zero. Smart and sexy? yes and no. Adorable? only few,only as kids. Lazy? We are in no rush to be world-dominators. Stubborn? I think the previous precludes this one.You can't be lazy and stubborn.May be you can.Who cares.Gult metrosexual is a myth.Those don't exist. We are open to threesomes.As long as the couple is lesbian.
None of these statements can be corroborated with hard facts, but then , we don't believe in saying anything concrete.Including the previous statement.

If you find this article demeaning to gults, i wouldn't be surprised.I tried to place as many contradictions as i can.I am a gult and i am proud to be one. Each of these qualities is a precious gift.Only you have to know how to use it.Don't think too hard :)
no metrosexual gults?? i can think of atleast one. the one who likes arsenal and plays terrible footer
I've heard that Gults are the champions when it comes to amount demanded as dowry. Is that true?
Incase you think I meant this in a derogatory sense, let me assure you, that is not the case. I have many Gult friends too. But not one close enough to ask how much they got on their marriage! :-)

Very nice post totti. Brings out the richness of the gult culture and the kind of pressure you must be going through( or so it seems). Dont be pressurized..its all good. One can never take gultiness away from a man. Gults will remain gults only, one can do nothing to change that fact.
I dont understand the point of this post though. Do u think the gult community is threatened by the society today? I think u should definitely address such issues in your post so we can all be enlightened and educated.

The gults getting crores in dowry fact irks me no end. We only get a broken down second hand bajaj scooter, and that too after the necessary amount of torture by the mother and sister-in-law with hot irons and kerosene stoves. IIT, ITI, Amrika-Shamrika, sab ek barabar hai. No wonder we are wife beaters.
And I thgt u were a good guy ...threesome and lesb!!! ... my suggestion to all ...totti seems to be good at guessing who anons are ..so post ur comments as anons and let him guess ... guess me!
